Plastipak Has Been Named a Recipient of the Luxembourg American Business Award

Recognizing our role in strengthening trade and business relationships between the United States and Luxembourg.

Presented by the Luxembourg American Chamber of Commerce in New York City, the biennial award honors companies that demonstrate a lasting commitment to economic partnership between Luxembourg and the United States. This recognition highlights Plastipak’s continued investment in international growth, packaging innovation, and circular economy solutions.

Driving Innovation and Sustainability in Luxembourg and Beyond

Plastipak has operated in Luxembourg since 1998, with our Bascharage site serving as a key hub for manufacturing and recycling in Europe. Today, the facility is one of the largest PET bottle and preform production sites of its kind in the region. Operating continuously, the site incorporates up to 70 percent recycled PET and supports food-grade PET recycling, helping advance circular economy practices across Europe

This recognition reflects the strength of our people in Luxembourg and across our global network. Our associates bring the expertise and vision needed to transform challenges into opportunities, supporting customers across Europe, the United States, and global markets.

Our focus on product innovation continues to drive progress. Plastipak delivers high-quality, sustainable packaging solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of customers in food and beverage, including water, juice, ketchup, salad dressing, and functional drinks. By integrating advanced manufacturing with recycling capabilities, we help reduce risk, improve efficiency, and deliver scalable solutions for our partners.

Our commitment to the planet is central to our approach. Through:

Plastipak is helping to build a more circular economy in Luxembourg, across Europe, and globally. Our Luxembourg operations play a key role in reducing plastic waste and increasing the use of recycled materials in packaging.

Building Lasting Relationships

In February 2026, His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Minister of the Economy Lex Delles visited Plastipak’s Bascharage facility. The visit highlighted Luxembourg’s leadership in sustainable industry, as well as Plastipak’s role in supporting innovation, economic growth, and environmental progress in the region.

We also recognize the importance of strong transatlantic relationships. We thank Mr. Luc Decker, Consul General of Luxembourg in New York, and Mr. Kivanç Ergu, Economic Attaché for Trade and Investment Promotion, for visiting our corporate headquarters and Plastipak Westland facility in Michigan. These engagements reinforce our shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and long-term collaboration.
