Responsible Water Treatment

Water is an essential part of the recycling process, yet it presents unique challenges. During processing, water is contaminated and must be treated before it can be reused. Clean Tech treats the water used during production and then reuses it. As responsible stewards of the community, Clean Tech also treats the water it sends back to the community. For its in-house water treatment, Clean Tech uses harmless compounds as well as friendly microbes that feed on microscopic bits of natural materials in the water. Both the microbes and compounds facilitate the water treatment. In 2008, Clean Tech treated and reused 1.8 million gallons of water with this environmentally-friendly method.
